Bernice Vanderpool
Managing Consulting Director
Bernice has decades of extensive not-for-profit management experience. She uses this experience to manage both the daily operations and the long-term direction of Family Promise of Hudson County’s programming. Since her year of consulting for FPHC, both rapid rehousing and homelessness prevention program components have been successfully added. Bernice also added key personnel to enhance the current and new programming.
Additionally, Bernice has put into place a short-term plan for 2021-22 goal development. During the 2020-21 grant cycle, she succeeded in helping FPHC receive over $125,000 in public and private funds for new programming. Bernice has strategically planned for the crucial fundraising campaigns of FPHC while overseeing the planning of our 2021-22 fundraising events to maximize donor engagement.

Bernadette Meggett
HPP Senior Case Manager
As the senior case manager, Bernadette provides intake and assessment and ongoing case management services for our Homelessness Prevention Program. She participates in the development and implementation of the Comprehensive Service Plan jointly with clients to establish measurable goals and objectives. She also conducts regular meetings with clients to perform an ongoing assessment of needs and provides comprehensive case management services to clients.

Alyssa Lopez
Research Director
As Research Director, Alyssa handles the gathering and mass spread of important information to the public in the name of Family Promise of Hudson County (FPHC). This includes the website, newsletter, and all fundraisers held. She also supervises the Research Specialist to give helpful advice and ensure that the Research Department of FPHC runs smoothly. Alyssa is a student with plans to go into webpage development.
Abigail Somers
Program Specialist
As Program Specialist, Abbey assists the staff with handling applications, organizing client paperwork, and communicating with both landlords and clients about program requirements. She also assists with handling research for fundraisers and donations. Abbey is a law student whose main focus is in public interest.
